Buried underneath the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico lies the Chicxulub crater, a 66 million year old impact crater formed by an asteroid or comet thought to be anywhere from 6 to 50 miles in diameter. Debris from the explosion was thrown into the atmosphere, putting chemicals in the air and soil, severely changing the climate. It is hypothesized that this event triggered megatsunamis, earthquakes, and volcanoes, leading to the extinction of 75% of the species that existed at that time.

I absolutely love this necklace

I absolutely love this necklace. It's beautiful made and has a nice weight to it. I like to layer it with the Jurassic necklace and the zodiak charm but it goes with so many things. I'm working on building a Little Rooms collection for myself, and am super happy to add this one. I'm obsessed with Little Rooms!

Elegant and undercover

Elegant and undercover. I love cosplaying as a put together woman with little sparkles of rebellion and this jewelry absolutely allows for that. I jokingly call it my political jewelry, because the giant meteor is who I'm voting for in the next election.

If it's at all possible in the future, I would totally buy this jewelry in precious metals!
