The Loch Ness Monster is a creature from Scottish folklore said to inhabit a freshwater lake. The earliest reports of a “water beast” in the same vicinity were written in the 6th century AD. It wasn’t until 1933 that Loch Ness was brought to public attention, after a local newspaper published a report by a British couple who claimed to have seen “the nearest approach to a dragon or prehistoric animal that I have ever seen in my life.” Shortly after, anonymous letters began appearing in the newspaper claiming to have seen the creature. Later that year, the accounts reached the broader media when the first purported photograph of Loch Ness was published. Explanations to account for the sightings have ranged from the idea that the creature could be a long-necked newt, a plesiosaur, or even a large, strangely shaped piece of driftwood.
Depicted in this antique coin inspired necklace is Nessie swimming in her namesake lake, inscribed with her true Scottish name and first documented sighting date.

I love this coin. From the chain to the imprint, all of it. I treat it like those Saint necklaces because she has such a special place in my heart!
I was so excited when I got an email that the silver one is back in stock. I’ve worn it everyday and it already feels like it’s turning into some kind of lucky Scottish pendant
Perfect fit and great gift. Wife loved it. Will definitely purchase more from this store again.
This is exactly what I wanted it to be.
This is my third purchase from Little Rooms, and each new item gets better and better. The Nessie coin necklace is so unusual and such good quality. Can't wait to show it off!
