Sedimentary rocks occur in horizontal layers called strata. Some strata contain index fossils, fossils associated with a specific time in Earth’s history. By studying strata, geologists have determined the geological time scale, the order of major events in Earth’s history.
This charm features 3 layers of sedimentary rock, with grass and blue skies residing above. The bottom layer shows a trilobite fossil which can be found in most Paleozoic sedimentary rocks throughout the world. The next layer is Mesoziac, where dinosaur fossils are found. The top layer shows Cenozoic, the current layer that is still being deposited in the Earth today. This layer contains ice age animals, like the wooly mammoth, as well as modern mammals.

Adorable and well made
Thanks so much its perfect!
I absolutely love this piece. I’ve had my eye on it for months now, so when the Halloween sale rolled around, I decided to get it! The details are extremely crisp and the enamel is bright. I absolutely recommend buying it.
It arrived very quickly. It appears like good quality work. It was purchased for our daughter who’s an anthropologist.
What a beautifully crafted piece! It’s smaller than I imagined but better that way. Definitely worth the wait for the restock in Rhodium!
