Buried underneath the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico lies the Chicxulub crater, a 66 million year old impact crater formed by an asteroid or comet thought to be anywhere from 6 to 50 miles in diameter. Debris from the explosion was thrown into the atmosphere, putting chemicals in the air and soil, severely changing the climate. It is hypothesized that this event triggered megatsunamis, earthquakes, and volcanoes, leading to the extinction of 75% of the species that existed at that time.

This necklace is just so beautiful. My only wish is that the chain looked more upscale/real but that really is not a deal breaker. This charm is so amazingly well made and beautiful. It's far beyond any costume jewelry I can find made new. I am just in love with this. You are adored, Little Rooms.
I’m fully obsessed with this necklace— it’s heavy and beautifully made. This is my fifth or sixth Little Rooms necklace so I know how well they wear and hold up. I get so many compliments. I’m waiting for the day you make the Perseids design available as a charm, then all my Little Rooms space necklace dreams will be realized.
I love all the beautiful and funny jewelry that Little Rooms makes. It’s all impeccable crafted. And the tongue-in-cheek humor is exactly my style. This store is my new go-to site for gifts (both for myself and my friends.) I can’t wait to add more Little Rooms pieces to my collection.
I ordered the Doomsday Necklace and man, I love it! It’s such a beautiful piece! The design and the bright color of the stone for asteroid is so brilliant - it’s complements my outfits just right and gives me something to look forward to. I’ll face Extinction in style 🤞🏽
