Art Deco, a style of art, architecture, and design from the 1920s and 30s, combined modernist styles with fine craftsmanship and rich materials. The Deco movement took off, and got it's name, during the 1925 International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts held in Paris, France. This World's Fair had 15,000 exhibitors from 20 different countries. Deco designs not only influenced architecture of most major cities, it also had impact on furniture, fashion, movie theaters, trains, ocean liners, jewelry and everyday items such as vacuums and radios. It was the organizer's hope that the exposition would bring about a truly new "modern" style. Stand out with this delicate Deco Solitaire Necklace.
